whilst i have been working on my final pieces between work and home, i have found it to become quite difficult with changing between PC and MAC. although i am using illustrator on both computers, the formatting has come across differently. i am unsure as to why this has happened. through the processes i was using within the first/ second week, i now have to reconsider the ways in which i am creating my pixel squares, this is due to the fact that the methods to replicate the squares has changed due to the use of different computers.
with knowing this i have adopted a method that will allow me to replicate the squares successfully without easily becoming frustrated as it is a timely procedure.
so far i have completed approx 1/3 of my first piece and so far i am quite happy with the result and my choice to create works in this form (although it is very time consuming and can be frustrating!)

week 3 - digital art
for this weeks class i have focused on the designs for my final pieces. each sketch is a rough outline of my final piece and seves as a template for design. within the class i began to lay out the outlines with the aid of adobe illustrator. i have found that adobe will be the best app to use for the pieces as it allows me to replicate identical size cubes for my piece, and the shading technique becomes relitvely easier as i continue to experiment with it.
overall i am somewhat overwhelmed with the amount of work i have decided to do as it is becomming time consuming, never the less i will endeavour to do all that i have set for myself.

digital art journal - week 2
as from my last weeks post i have done some extensive research into what i intend to do for the semester and my final folio. i have chosen to create pixilated artworks based on the theme of a shady digital world. each piece will be created in a form that shows the worlds reliability on technology and the contrasts of the prime colours (Red, Blue and Green) and also the shades within to produce a refined and final product.
for this weeks lesson i solely based my class time on comprehending the macs and working my way around the apps and tools needed for my end of year folio. within the lesson i focused on the ability to use adobe illustrator, and the concept on shading using the RGB primes.
i did not save my work from todays lesson as i had forgotten my usb at home. however i was able to successfully able to create pixle images in the form of a rainbow, imcorporating shading and texture

introduction to digital art journal - week 1
introduction to digital art journal - week 1
as week one consisted of the introduction to digital art, we were informed of assessments, weekly taks and what is required from us within the semester.
within the content that is going to be explored within the subject, i am quite content that i will be able to creatively express myself in ways that i would original think of as different. i am quite interested in utilising macs as i have confidently used to using pc's for all of my work.
although it may be challenging i am excited to move out of my comfort zone to complete works that are different and unconvesional to the styles that i am use to.
so far in regards to assessments i have not thought of a theme or inspiration for my work, but i will continue to browse through websites and look to things close to me for inspiration.
from this weeks lesson i found an artist by the name of Mitch Trale who has created a work titled ' Analog Environment.'
my first thoughts were those off google earth as it resembles the style of panning through space to see different images.
i liked the work as it allows you to move back and forward through time to see different aspects of nature and the environment.
